This problem took me into the depths wordpress hell yesterday, as I tried to update to 3.4.1 to see if that would work. It quickly became apparent that a rollback was necessary. My hosting provider saved the day by using backups to restore the site.

In short, the problem is not apparent anymore. Although I’m scared to try and add a Lightbox plugin for my images now, in case it disables Flagallery again. Do you know of any that are proven to work?

I have the same problem. Does anyone know why its not working?

Now to read the css and figure out what exactly I need to do in such cases, I will have to really study that. But this is a good example of how to go about it. You helped get me off the ground. Thanks again.

I tried adding .entry-header p {display:none} to the css, but that removes headings and dates from many other posts, typically the ones formatted to show videos.

I am trying to remove the date and author from the top post on the homepage only.

Looking at index.php, I was not able to identify any entry that controls the date on posts.

Thanks for your reply. If I should i run into any more problems, i will try your suggestion. It magically started to show the image background, apparently all on its own, shortly after I submitted this problem.

I had tried that before. This time I tried reinstalling a fresh copy of WordPress to a new directory. e.g. instead of /store, i used/shop.
