Did you test to send a confirmation email?
If you got same thing (the email not delivered and subscriber added in list) then you should check that test email is sent correctly at home page of this plugin.

2-4. We are not sure why you getting the problems.
FYI, If you create/update some settings on my.sendinblue.com then you can’t see that soon. So you should click on sync link at right panel.
