GOOD NEWS! The developer of the Scripts-To-Footer plugin got back to me. In that plugin’s settings, there is a “Keep jQuery in the Header” option. Tick the box there and both plugins work together harmoniously!!!

    Excellentoe!

    That worked and SOOOO easy!!

Now I get to keep Easy FancyBox and Scripts-To-Footer in my sites!!!

    Thanks,

    NU

PS: Hope you know that in the WordPress admin ADD PLUGINS section, while it states that Scripts-To-Footer was last updated 3 months ago, it also says, “Untested with your version of WordPress.” (I am using the current 4.4.2.)

Aha!!! You are correct: I was working on the small screen of my laptop, but when I hooked up my external monitor, the images did get appropriately larger!

I am going to assume everything is right in the world for the time being and consider this issue resolved.

Now all I need is some spare time to go back through 600 posts with several thousand images and add the “Link to” option to each photo—and all be be even righter in this best of all possible worlds!

Thanks again for you assistance and your patience . . .

    Certainly: elvis-atouchofgold.com

When you check the images, do NOT use the first image (a black & white line drawing), but scroll down to the first color image and check them out.

    Thanks again!

This is the second of two posts that I am making here on Support. This addresses new issues I have since following your advice.

I upload an image to MEDIA that is 600px x 900px. I then select MEDIUM size for display and the image appears on my site as 300px x 450px.

I have the image linked to the Media File, but when I click on the image, Easy FancyBox does not display the larger image (600×900)—but displays the same image already on my site (300×450)!

What am I doing wrong now?

This is the first of two posts that I am making here on Support. This addresses the issues I have been discussing with you, and my confusion.

I discovered my problem: when you go to INSERT MEDIA on WordPress, in the lower right corner are the ATTACHMENT DISPLAY SETTINGS. There is a set of options there, including LINK TO.

    The options are:

    NONE
    MEDIA FILE
    ATTACHMENT PAGE
    CUSTOM URL

Once MEDIA FILE is selected, it remains the default setting from there on.

So, somewhere in the past, I switched from MEDIA FILE to NONE and never noticed!

    Thanks!

    But . . .

That added underlines to the links in the text of my article and the “Continue reading” (which I want) and added underlines to all the titles and even the dates on my homepage (which I d on’t want).

Is there a mix of these four snippets that might work?

How’s this for consistency: I thought it through and decided to reinstall and reactivate Easy FancyBox on all my sites! It will work for some images, and not for others.

As Doris Day would say, “Que sera, sera!”

Needless to say, I will be careful henceforth to make sure that I select the “Linked to” option each time.

Thanks again for your patience and assistance,

    Aha!

The two snippets of code DID add underlining to the “Continue reading” text on the homepage, but did NOT add underlining to any of the links in the text on post pages.

    Gotcha!

But every one of the thousands of images on my sites were uploaded and inserted into the WordPress posts identically.

I never once used the “Linked to” option and yet half my images work fine with your plugin and half don’t.

And since I prefer consistency, I guess I’m better off with no FancyBox effects than occasional effects.

PS: If there is anyone reading this that thinks that I am arguing against Ravan’s plugin, you are mistaken. It’s a great plugin!

Just want you to thank you for your efforts, but since I have to go through hundreds of posts and thousands of images to find out which ones weren’t uploaded in the ‘proper’ manner—a manner that I still don’t understand, as I uploaded all of them the same way and some work and some don’t—I have deleted Easy FancyBox from my four sites.
