Hannah,
I did some of that in previous troubleshooting but to be on the safe side I went through and deactivated everything this time and still no luck.
I have to conclude that the conflict is with the theme (GeneratePress) which is really unfortunate. Not sure if you’ve heard of a conflict like this before?
At this point, I think we’re going to give up on tabs or look for another solution. Thank you again for your time and patience with this troubleshooting!
Hannah,
Here’s a link to my screengrab: https://ibb.co/fHchqH8. Let me know if you need to see more.
Thank you for working through this with me! If there’s other info I can provide, please let me know. Thanks!
Hannah,
I assume you mean in the URL, like this? https://nematome.org/haiku-take-2#2014
I have done that; the page loads with the “/” in the URL (https://nematome.org/haiku-take-2/#2014) but otherwise still no success.
And yes, this is set in the Tab Anchor settings.Hi Hannah. Any other suggestions on the anchor links not working? Thanks.
Tested with Twenty Twenty-One theme and no luck. Tried with an incognito window as well. Sorry.
Hannah,
Smooth scroll is not in use. We’re only using the basic theme, not premium, and that’s not an option. Thanks.
Thanks, Hannah.
Using Kadence Blocks 2.4.22 with GeneratePress.
I’m having the same problem with my theme, which is using Bootstrap for menus. The normal behavior is to open submenus on.click but after the latest Photonic update they activate on.click. Like mpsaini I can’t resolve by rearranging or removing code, other than to deactivate Photonic completely.
I’d very much like to keep using the plugin so I second the request for a non-conflict mode or alternate functions. Thanks.

In reply to: How make WP multisite create sites in httpsWhat webtechIMT said. Having the same problem here. Our multisite environment is using a wildcard SSL for subdomains. New sites are being generated with http and even though our network forces https, files and images on the site are still being served over http unless we go in and update each new site as its created (and since we get 5-10 a week we’d really not edit these manually).
Would love a config option for MU. Prefer not to use the Force https plugin.
This isn’t a problem report per se but more of a feature request.
Yes, the problem is the use of the ‘calendar’ slug which is often already used in sites we see. Also in my experience with converting our sites to Simple Calendar, any child page of ‘calendar’ won’t resolve at all while this plugin is activated. In fact it didn’t work until I cleared out the plugin data completely. I’m just saying this may not be clear to users and if there could be an option to specify the slug rather than taking the term ‘calendar’ that would be preferable.
Similar problem. Using this plugin (awesome, thanks!) for backing up a couple multisite instances. In the past week the backups have begun the fail 3x issue with the same errors regarding 5 min of inactivity.
Our assumptions are that it’s a max execution time problem, because this is a very large backup that definitely takes more than 5 minutes. However…
(1) it didn’t have this problem before last week despite the fact that it was virtually the same size and took just as long and,
(2) we’re using this for another backup in a similar situation (not quite as large but still more than 5 minute run time) that is *not* failing. We tried this running in cron but in this case we get a very explicit run time error:
ERROR: Maximum execution time of 300 seconds exceededMy questions —
Does the setting (under “Jobs”) for “Maximum script execution time” not impact this at all then? Looks liek the 300 sec is coded into the plugin in a few places.
Anything else that might be causing the initial error, “5 min of inactivity”?
Anyone else overwriting this explicit 300 sec setting? Which, yes, is a bad idea, I know, but I’m at a bit of a loss…Thanks.

In reply to: [Custom Post Type UI] CPT not showing in DashboardJust wanted to throw in my $.02 since this helped me too…
After the most recent update 2 of the 3 custom post types I had setup for my site no longer appeared on the backend. To be clear the CPT UI menu was there but the post type menus items were missing. The suggestion to go in an edit (without changing anything) the post types that were missing from the menu solved my problem. Once I saved them they reappeared and seem to be working fine now.
Thanks.

In reply to: [BackWPup – WordPress Backup & Restore Plugin] Can't access plugin optionsSame problem as others. I just tried updating backwpup and it crashed the backend. Presumably the BackWPUp admin access has to be granted prior to the update or you’ll get blocked? Error for me was a redirects error. Wasn’t able to get back in until I disabled the plugin manually. Would appreciate more info on resolving this, thanks.

In reply to: Any good Backup Plugin for MultiSite WP?Great thread here. I too purchased Backup Buddy a couple months ago specifically for a multisite environment and am frustrated to see them stepping out of the game – if nothing else I’d love to know what the major obstacles are as that would help assess the other tools out there.
VaultPress looks like a good, or at least well-supported, alternative until you consider that each site in the multisite requires it’s own account at key at $15 (at least) a pop.
Any comments out there on how BackWPuP is doing in the long-term?
Anyone know is WP core has any tips on how to backup WordPress multisite?
And is it a pipe dream to find a backup tool that will restore on a site-by-site basis?
