I suppose you guys are almost there in fixing the current issues with this plugin, but the question is, ‘Why does the plugin still inserts the following html codes after every of our post’s excerpts even though we have unchecked the Homepage, Archives,Categories & Excerpts options in the “Sharing Buttons Below Content” settings?’ :
<div class="entry-content"> <p> <a class="addthis_button_preferred_1"></a><br> <a class="addthis_button_preferred_2"></a><br> <a class="addthis_button_preferred_3"></a><br> <a class="addthis_button_preferred_4"></a><br> <a class="addthis_button_compact"></a><br> <a class="addthis_counter addthis_bubble_style"></a><br>
The above pieces of html code do create an undesirable UI and consequently an undesirable UX for our users and that is the current issue we have with your release 5.0.12.
If you guys fix the above, at least we can begin to again use your plugin in our production environment.
Meanwhile, as I mentioned earlier, our theme’s images sliders now work from release 5.0.11 and as it was in the ‘good old days’ of release 5.0.8

In reply to: [WordPress Share Buttons Plugin – AddThis] Fatal error after 5.0.9 updateHi Julka,
The release 5.0.11 is still not good enough for us. They gave it a test ride this morning. At least our sliderswork now with version, however, AddThis creates a series of “blank” placeholders for share buttons and position them at undesirable positions after our posts summaries (or short descriptions). More work need to be done.We had a much better experience with release 5.0.8, before release 5.0.9 began sending this great plugin and its users on unpleasant trips …

In reply to: [WordPress Share Buttons Plugin – AddThis] Fatal error after 5.0.9 updateThe release 5.0.10 is still not good for us. They gave it a test ride this morning, and it still causes our theme’s sliders to malfunction.
Oh when will this great plugin function normal again?
Julka, Elsa, Paul and the rest of the Addthis Support Team are doing well, however, I personally suppose that the beta testing of new releases should be intensified before releases.

In reply to: [WordPress Share Buttons Plugin – AddThis] Fatal error after 5.0.9 updateFolks,
To maintain the user experience on our website, we have had to rather deactivate AddThis plugin temporarily until AddThis dev team fixes what needs to be fixed.
We are willing to corporate with AddThis, however, we are also concerned about our brand.
Julka, Elsa and rest of AddThis team, lets work together behind the scene to get this great plugin back on its feet and working properly again. (You have my email so you know how to get to us)Kind regards

In reply to: [WordPress Share Buttons Plugin – AddThis] Fatal error after 5.0.9 updateHi AddThis_Elsa,
I have emailed you guys information about our active plugins, the name of our theme and additionally a screenshot of how activation of your plugin’s “Sharing Sidebar” even with a rollback to release 5.0.8, is malfunctioning.
AddThis_Elsa, can you please provide us with another email address, instead of complaining that you are not receiving my emails?
Thanks.
Hi AddThis_Elsa,
Pls check your email, for I will send you some screenshots.

In reply to: [WordPress Share Buttons Plugin – AddThis] Fatal error after 5.0.9 updateHi AddThis_Elsa,
We have just tested what you sent but it unfortunately failed. Our WP theme fails to function as it does with AddThis release 5.0.8.
What we can do for you guys is to send you a list of our active plugins so that you can test your changes/updates against them. (Pls. check your email for our plugin list and the name of our active theme.)
[N.B. for your information, we’re using AddThis plugin in a production environment and currently micro-blogging to well over 30K Twitter followers.]

In reply to: [WordPress Share Buttons Plugin – AddThis] Fatal error after 5.0.9 updateyes please, [Email redacted]
Yes, we did that already. Thanks.
Now after rolling back to release 5.0.8, the “Sharing Sidebar” appear where we don’t desire them. This was not like that before. The sharing bar appears now after a post’s summary or excerpt. This is not desirable at all.

In reply to: [WordPress Share Buttons Plugin – AddThis] Bug reportHi Julka can you show us how to rollback to release (5.0.8). We’re using your plugin in production and updating from release (5.0.8) to release (5.0.9) is caused our WP theme not to function properly anymore until your plugin was deactivated.
It is sad but it appears that something is still not right with your release (5.0.9).
Will appreciate a feedback.

In reply to: [WordPress Share Buttons Plugin – AddThis] Fatal error after 5.0.9 updateWhat is happening to AddThis plugin? After updating to ver 5.0.9 our website is completely a mess. We’ve had to deactivate ver 5.0.9 and we’re for a way to rollback to ver 5.0.8.
Can someone from AddThis explain what is happening? Thanks.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Yoast rewriting custom post type slugs when I saveI am having a similar experience with the version 2.2.1. And interstingly, Yoast support doesn’t want to accept that something has gone amiss with their lastest version 2.2.1
Yoast support writes in response to this issue, “Unfortunately, we think this is an issue specific to your site. Therefore we would like to get access to the WordPress admin of your website”
