Thank you for this. Does it usually take one week or more? To be honest I do not know if the footer is on every page, I assumed it was, how can I check?

When I check the view page staus on my browser the code does not show up in the html. So I have gone ahead and added the google code to the header.php file, will this do any harm?

Also on the home page when I click the comment button it goes to the RSS feed and says the page cannot be found yet stills asks users to subscribe to the feed ??

Just a revision here, I checked and in the dropdown for screen options there was an option for comments and discussion- they were both checked. Yet there is no where for users to leave a comment.

What can I do?

At the moment it says: You need to make this file writable before you can save your changes. We had a “techy” set up the site on the ftp and he has control over the writing of these files.

Should I have him change something in this single.php file or download and install a plug in, in order to get these features.
