Thanks everyone,

I was able to use the API keys to ask wordpress to automatically look for updates. As soon as it noticed there was an update for the theme available I downloaded it and everything went back to how it was before – which is awesome.

I’m running enfold by Kriesi – its been pretty great up until the update. A few things a out of sorts. The plugins were built into the theme. Any ideas?
