Just released 1.2, which says it’s compatible with 2.7 and fixes some minor stuff, mainly about translations. Oh, and there’s a new screenshot.
It works for me. Are you sure you have saved the draft?

There is a plugin, which counts thw words properly in Chinese:

The plugin doesn’t do any direct SQL queries.
