    Thank you Jeremy.

I’m searching for the code you sent in the CSS and I’m finding nothing. I’m in a mac and I’m opening up the search in that page with (command F) so is that code located there or in a .php?

The two thin strips of color are resolved, thank you.

I will ask my client for the password for themeforest thank you for that suggestion! (laughing).

Hello everyone. I’m trying to accomplish something similar in changing my menu color . I have an Echoes theme: https://www.evolvecare.com

I took your advice Jeremy and searched underneath the /* Navigation */
I realize that different themes have different code and this is what it says in the echoes theme:

[CSS moderated as per the Forum Rules. Please just post a link to your site.]

I’ve changed the color value and refreshed and there is still no changes so I’m wondering if the ability to change the menu color exists somewhere else?

Thanks for all the great advice I really appreciate it.

Is creating a Child Theme in order to make changes the same as activating a plugin called one-click-child-theme?

    Hello,

    I need help.
    I’m using echoes theme: https://www.imaginemthemes.com/demo/echoes/echoes-red/

and the website I’m working on is https://www.evolvecare.com

I currently have the same need to change the color of the drop down menu.
I have the help manual for echoes theme that says, “If you would like to edit the color, font, or style of any elements in one of these columns, you would do the following:

    #contents { color: #someColor; }

If you find that your new style is not overriding, it is most likely because of a specificity problem. Scroll down in your CSS file and make sure that there isn’t a similar style that has more weight.

    #contents .posttitle { color: #someColor; }”

I’ve looked in the CSS for that and I can not find it, and when I click into the menu.php there is nothing.

Thank you to anyone who can offer direction and help.
    I appreciate it.
