Hi @rubenmora
I would love if you could share some more details as to what was the issue you faced with CartBounty so we could understand how we can improve it and make it better.
Thank you,
NaurisHi, thank you for your response.
You could try changing “Default customer location” to “Geolocate (with page caching support)” and see if that makes a difference.
You should also check if your server or website is maybe using CDN which can cause various caching issues including WooCommerce inability to properly geolocate customer’s IP address.
Hi @anirudh5bs,
Thanks for reaching out. CartBounty relies on the data provided by WooCommerce geolocation service. Have you correctly enabled and updated MaxMind geolocation integration?
Hi @wojewodzic, thanks for reaching out!
If you are using CartBounty Pro, you can go over to settings and enable automated anonymous shopping cart removal. If your client uses the free version, then there are three options:
a) Manual deletion of anonymous abandoned carts. Opening Abandoned cart tab and under screen options changing to display 500 carts. Then use Bulk delete to remove shopping carts,. But removing 95K would rather time consuming.
b) Going directly into database and running an SQLDELETE FROM wp_cartbounty_pro WHERE email = '' && phone = '' && type = '0'
c) Deleting CartBounty plugin and reinstalling it. This option means that all settings and abandoned carts will be deleted (including recoverable, recovered etc.)Please let me know if you need additional details.
Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback! ?? We’re beyond excited to hear that our plugin stands out as the best for you.
Your feedback inspires us to keep improving and providing even more value to our users. If you ever have any suggestions or need assistance, we’re here for you! Thanks again for choosing CartBounty. ????
Since I have not heard back from you, I will mark this as resolved. Please let us know if you still require assistance.
Hi @sahithk, so the issue seems to be related with some saved settings issue.
Do you have access to your database? You should go to your database, open wp_options table and find “cartbounty_main_settings” field and delete it. If you are using multiple sites and each has its own database, you should open and perform this only on the website where the error has risen. This will remove your CartBounty settings and you will need to configure CartBounty settings once again. But this should take care of the issue.
Please let me know your results.
Kind regards,
NaurisHi @sahithk, thank you for your message and informing us about this issue.
We are looking into this issue now and trying to figure out what could be causing it.Forum: Reviews
In reply to: [CartBounty - Save and recover abandoned carts for WooCommerce] BonDear @paulinechevalier
Thank you for your feedback. I just would like to point out that if you are receiving that large amount of abandoned carts, those most probably are coming from bots that are adding all of your store products to the cart. There are multiple ways that you will need to look into in order to exclude them from your abandoned cart list. Here is a guide on dealing with bot traffic: How to prevent bots from leaving abandoned carts
Please note that you can switch to a different solution for abandoned cart recovery, but the bots will still be visiting your server and store even if you do not see them in Google Analytics stats. So you should consider strengthening your server and block these bots or they will continue to put stress on your store and make it slower.
Would appreciate if you could update your review since CartBounty is simply doing what it is intended to do and displays shopping carts for you. You can exclude anonymous carts from being saved and you will not be seeing them in your abandoned cart list, but it will still not be dealing with the root of the problem – bots visiting your store.
We have just released a new version which includes a fix for the issue with image
alt
attribute. We have also addedtitle
attribute. Both of these can be easily changed either via Exit Intent template or a filter.Thank you for bringing this to our attention! ??
Hi @jackievon51
We have just released an update which now will hide previously captured Anonymous carts if you have enabled Anonymous cart exclusion under CartBounty > Settings. We feel that this will be more clear. Thank you very much for your suggestion! ??
Thank you for the update.
If you enable anonymous cart exclusion, then no new anonymous abandoned carts will be saved, however the ones that had already been saved will be available in the abandoned cart list.Hi @jackievon51, thank you for your question.
If you have enabled anonymous cart exclusion, then you should not be seeing any unknown abandoned carts in your abandoned cart list. Could you let us know what CartBounty version are you using and maybe share a screenshot of your CartBounty settings page?
Thank you
Hi @alejandrozgz, thank you for pointing this out! ??
We have added this to be included in the next version release.Thank you @hatata7, this really means a lot to us! ??
