Changing_The_Site_URL looks like a goodie. Went to print out and my printer decided to malfunction :-0

I renamed the .htacess file in my root dir to .OLDhtacess so that I would have it later on when I decided to do the Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory. once I had the entire site migrated

The other night when I created this mess I did print out and follow the “Giving WordPress Its Own Directory” b/c I wanted to eliminate the /wordpress/ dir from my urls. But then decided to do that AFTER I got the entire site migrated.
Looking at “Giving WordPress It’s Own Directory” maybe I changed something in the Dashboard General Settings.
The only problem is now I cannot get to my dashboard because I get the URL redirect when I try to log on via
https://aaintergroupnepa.org/wordpress/wp-admin
any thoughts as to how to get to dashboard via another route?

no wordpress was installed in the wordpress dir. and that is where the .htacess file lives
The wp-config.php lives one dir above at the root

via ftp I changed back to my previous .htaccess file

so now https://aaintergroupnepa.org/wordpress/userlogon/
not erroring and looks like how I last left it

BUT
https://aaintergroupnepa.org/wordpress/wp-admin
is redirecting me to URL:
https://aaintergroupnepa.org/wordpress/userlogon/wp-login.php?redirect_to=https://aaintergroupnepa.org/wordpress/wp-admin/&reauth=1

Any direction is greatly appreciate b/c I am confusing myself at this point.

thank you so much for your reply.

My .htaccess is in my /wordpress/ directory –not my root dir.

I added “userlogon” to show the 500 error I am getting on that page.

when I try to log onto https://aaintergroupnepa.org/wordpress/wp-admin
get redirected to the following URL
https://aaintergroupnepa.org/wordpress/userlogon/wp-login.php?redirect_to=https://aaintergroupnepa.org/wordpress/wp-admin/&reauth=1

any help IS greatly appreciated!

sorry if I am dim but how do you implement:
Feature request:
Could you extend the “Allow users’ groups to edit events”, to allow users according to their “level” (This way, I could allow it only to “authors”, and just anyone who registered).
And the best would be to create abilities like:
1) View calendar.
2) Add/edit event to calendar.
3) Edit some one else’s event.
