I attempted the manual update and carefully followed the instructions. Unfortunately now when I attempt to log in to my wp-admin page I get these errors:

That does work, but unfortunately it is not suited to my purposes, as it then shows the entire entry for each post on the category page, and I need it to show the excerpt only. Ideally I would like to have an addthis menu under each post excerpt. Unless somebody has a solution for that, I may just have to go with Add to Any or a some different plugin.
