In reply to: I don't know what I need forum or blogHi keetch,
As Jason King said, a little more info would not hurt ??
In my personal opinion:
Blogs are easier to set up and manage over time, but they can become tricky to control if you have numerous posts and pages that are not properly organized or set up.
Forums are tricky to set up at first but you can at least have a lively user population on your site contributing numerous ideas on different threads.
If you want, you can incorporate both into your idea and have a forum with a blog post only for members or an open blog post and a forum only for members.
I hope I have at least helped a little ??
Have a great day!

In reply to: How to take down the website?Hi Laurel,
My condolences for your loss.
As kjodle said, you will have to contact the host who was managing the site and request that they take it down. You may have to show certain documents to the host so they know you are not just trying to mess with the site or the owner.
It shouldn’t be that difficult but most hosts will comply and take it down for you.
I hope I have helped a little with this.

In reply to: Is WordPress right for me?Hi Altaranalt,
WordPress is slightly tricky at first but given a few hours (or days) anyone can learn how to work with it. Like anything in this life, if you want it badly enough, you will work for it ??
I am unaware of any plugin that allows you to make changes to your site without logging into it. Unfortunately, your clients will have to learn how to navigate the admin side of things.
If you want, you can provide a slight “crash course” on how to work with their new sites.
I hope I have at least helped in some way.
Have a great day!

In reply to: How to add a webpage with links to my blogHi there,
I know this is 3 months old and your issue has likely been solved already but I will give advice so that someone else may have an answer made available in the forum ??
To place a link into your blog you need to first create the page and once that is done you can then click the button above the ‘writing section’ that looks like a little chain link.
You will then be given a second screen asking you to place the URL of the page you are looking for and you can then provide the text that the user will see on the site so it looks ‘nice’ ??
You can then preview the changes and modify if need be or you can just update the page.
I hope I have answered your question at least and again, it sucks that this ticket was ignored for 3 months, I hope you are still with WordPress and this experience has not turned you away.
Have a great day!

In reply to: Is WordPress the right solution for me?Hi PCIms,
There are numerous security plugins that can be used to meet any requirements that are needed. You could choose WordFence, BulletProof Security, Sucuri Security and there are many more.
As skinny cat said, it depends on how you set it up and if it is set up correctly. The plugin support teams will definitely be able to help you with getting that sorted though ??
Have a great day!

In reply to: Is WordPress the right solution for me?Hi,
I think WordPress is perfect for you, yes you are able to use WooCommerce to achieve your goals of making the site so that your users can purchase a premium licence from you.
There are also plugins (Thanks Miroslav) that can be used to make your site have incredible functionality.
You can also make pages private when you are creating them so that only logged in (premium) users are able to see them.
You could have a registration page, that leads to the members only area and you can continue from there.
Just because WordPress is open source does not mean that it cannot handle your big dreams for your site ??
If you get stuck, the community is always available to help. Try setting up your site, and if you get stuck you can open a support ticket and everyone can help.
I hope I have at least helped answer your question.
Have a great day!
