Update 2: I found a WordPress plugin that allows you to use customized HTML tags around your phone numbers to link them for mobile. When you click the number it will successfully ask if you want to call the number.

Plugin is called “Telephone Number Linker”. Once installed and activated, put the following code around wherever your phone numbers are (assuming it’s HTML):
`[telnumlink “12345678900”]1-234-567-8900[/telnumlink]

Update: I de-activated and then re-activated the plugin and applied the link. It still did not work. And the files I used to replace the others were downloaded today.

@anghelalexandra I ran into the same problem where the numbers are not opening up in the phones dialer. I just updated all of the files you listed to no avail. Also, the callto.php and the tel.php files were never in there to begin with. I am running 2.1.1. Do I need to deactivate and activate the plugin again?

You can see that the home screen on mobile is clearly darker than it is supposed to be. Thanks for the quick response!
