Hi.
That made it display just the author’s username, not linked to their page.
I changed ‘nicename’ to ‘nickname’, and now it displays the Nickname, which is good, but it’s not a link to the author’s page.
(Using the ‘outside the loop’ code)

When you’re editing the page that those links are on, if you don’t get the pop-up window when you click the Link button on the tool bar, then it’s probably a problem with the browser you are using, not WordPress.
Is javascript disabled, maybe?

That’s not an answer. “Go ahead if it works”? Please don’t go to posts and respond with such useless non-information. All you did is reduce the chance of someone that does know the answer from looking at this post, since it now has a response.

And there’s nothing sneaky about it, it’s actually the opposite. I have duplicate content on the 3 old pages and want to not be penalized for that, so I want to make one page. What you suggest seams the exact opposite way to go.
