It’s worked, thank you for your help!

I had originally set it up as ‘URL only’ and after pressing redirect, it has changed it to URL and server.
I have just tried to edit the redirect, and when I change it back to ‘URL only’ it will not let me save it.

Apologies if I’ve missed it – but I cant see an option anywhere for me to add a screen shot/ image?

I have deactivated all of the plugins and it is still not working – when I click on ‘check redirect’ it is coming up with 200 and not 301

I have tried to install it on both domains, and both times it has not seemed to work. Which site should I be installing it on?

And I just used the default settings that are already on there:

source URL: https://www.seamlesslinings.co.uk/
Query Parameters: Exact match all parameters in any order
Match: URL only
When matched: redirect to URL wit HTTP code: 301
Target URL: https://seamlessinteriors.com/services/linings/
Group: Redirections Position: 0
URL options/regex (none selected)

Other than the URLS to both sites, is there another one you would need?

Yes I know – but when I install the redirection plug in, and paste the old domain into the source URL box, and then paste the new domain into the target url box, I then press add redirect and it does not seem to be working. The old site is still running without a 301 added to it. So do you know why this might be happening?

thanks for your reply – I’m sorry, I don’t know what you mean by ‘mapped to your new domain’. I currently have the plug in installed on both websites, but have since disabled the redirection as it does not seem to be working.

Hi Anton, thank you for your reply.

The picture I was referring to earlier is the one I have uploaded with the “settings automatically smush my images” and “resize full size images” disabled, and it is perfect quality : https://seamlessinteriors.com/projects/goodwood-festival-of-speed/
However, I have just tried to upload the same image with these settings enabled again and the image is still showing in perfect quality.. and yet this image had become blurry beforehand, and so I do not know if this is a delayed response?

And yes, I do have resize my full size images enabled, so is this possibly the issue?
If so, is there a way to revert this? As turning it off does not change any of my pictures back to normal.

Also, when I deactivate smush, and then upload a picture to my header image, it is no longer blurry. I would really like to be able to find a way to fix this so that I don’t have to reload every single header image which will take me a very long time!

Could you recommend to me how many of my pages on my website I should be setting up SEO for? For example I have read that setting SEO up on contact page is unnecessary.

I have since worked out that this is because yoast does not recognise some content in other themes, widgets etc.
So my next question, is how does this then effect my site from being crawled by google? I have seen that on some forums people have said that google can still crawl the site, but will it still be effective? Especially as I am designing a website for a big company, so how will this effect it?

Hi, I have solved the issue – it was showing up blank because I was loading images that were already in my media gallery – so I had to upload them again into the gallery and then they showed up on my gallery!
