In reply to: [MC4WP: Mailchimp for WordPress] Subscribe not working, settings not workingI get this on my site to, so I logged out and now it won’t let me reconnect our mailchimp – it keeps timing out saying webpage not available.
Sorry I ran out in the middle of our conversation – my lift arrived.
I don’t appear to have a Gumroad account.
I’ve tried logging in with Facebook and Twitter and the accounts are new and empty and I’ve tried all my email addresses and it says they do not exist. I also have no records of having a Gumroad account in my past emails.
MyBookTable Professional Add-on
Deactivate | Edit
Adds professional level features to MyBookTable. Requires the MyBookTable plugin.Version 1.1.1 | By Author Media | Visit plugin site
There is no little pink box telling me I can upgrade it.
There is no option to update on the Professional Add-on – it disappeared after I updated the bookstore to 2.0.0
Great, many thanks for all the help.
Done and yes, that seems to have fixed the problem. I have Jetpack, WP Super Cache and MailChimp all running and no error message is now appearing on my test site, thank you.
Removing the MailChimp widget from the main site menu and leaving the plugin active makes no difference. The error still occurs.
I’ve noticed something else as well. If I leave the plugin active and don’t touch the WordPress backend for a while the error message disappears, but as soon as I do anything in the backend again, it pops back up.
I’ve managed to recreate the error on our test site. I went through everything and added all the correct widgets etc in until the error message popped up.
As soon as it did I backtracked to see if I could isolate what was causing it.
I think the conflicting plugin may be MailChimp, which is our mailing list plugin. I first saw the error pop up after I checked the settings in the plugin on the test site (we already had it active and I didn’t change anything, but not sure if looking at it might have refreshed it).
I have no idea why it would be causing the error message, but when I deactivate the plugin it does seem to disappear.
This is a very important plugin for us since it allows us to gain subscribers to our newsletter.
Thank you for your assistance.
Greetings,
I know, it’s frustrating, thank you for all your help :). I’m running both Super Cache and Jetpack on our test site as well, which is supposed to be almost identical to the main live site (but doesn’t have all the content and we’ve been testing a few things so not all the plugins match) and I can’t repeat the error their either.
I’m running WP Super Cache version 1.4.2 which I believe is the latest version.
I’ve stared all the plugins which are on both our live and test site and I’ve listed at the bottom the two plugins which are only on the test site.
For clarification is is our LIVE site which breaks if we update jetpack.

TashaSorry it has taken me so long to get back to you, we had a Halloween promotion going on, so I haven’t been able to try your solution until today.
First off all I tried it with just upgrading Jetpack.
1. turned off the caching
2. deleted the cache
3. upgraded Jetpack
– at this point everything was fine
4. turned the caching back on and the error came backThen I tried it your way with a complete removal of Jetpack and a reinstall from scratch. However it had the same outcome. As soon as I turn the caching back on it shows the error.
I am currently rolling back to the previous version again.
Thank you for your help so far, I hope you can help me solve this.
FYI Rolled back to 3.1.1 from yesterday’s backup so issue can no longer be seen on the site.
Okay, this must be an intermittent fault, because up it has popped again. Could it be anything to do with communicating with WordPress.com?
I have seen it fail to do that a couple of times today (no idea why) and reconnecting it did fix it once.
And it’s gone again – I give up.
