Thanks for reaching out, and I’m so sorry about the error message!

From the error message you shared, if your client ID is correct, it is possible that you don’t have the connection authenticated. To authorize your connection, please go to your WP Mail SMTP Settings page (WP Mail SMTP > Settings).

On this page, scroll down and click the Allow plugin to send emails using your Google account button and Save Settings to authenticate your connection. (https://i.imgur.com/y9xKpqV.png)

This will trigger Google to launch a pop-up to continue the connection setup. In case it helps, this part of our guide provides additional details on these steps:

Please give this a try, and if it doesn’t work, please just repeat the entire Google connection with a new app created in Google Console. You can follow the guide here:
