Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Can’t access backend of “some” pluginsI appreciate all the suggestions. Having so many plugins has presented problems so I know I need to try to weed those out. In the meantime I’ll go through your suggestions and report back if I’m able to fix it.
Thanks so much!

In reply to: Cannot type a space at the end of last lineThat does sort of work… my problem is my posts are FILLED with images. So I’d have to go into the code for each one. This is such an odd issue…

In reply to: Cannot type a space at the end of last lineI’m having the EXACT same problem. I have to use an external editor and then copy and paste my text in. It’s ridiculous. My keyboard works perfectly everywhere else. it’s just in the text editor on the latest wordpress that does it. Occasionally it will start working fine then suddenly won’t let me hit space in any situation.

In reply to: [Simple Download Monitor] Location of CSV fileYes I am. Its just giving a blank page. We’ve checked the php logs but they are all blank. So something odd going on. I’m still trying to figure it out.
This stems from when I moved to a new domain last year and your plugin was the only one that did not have any type of way to export it over and so all my downloads broke. I have almost 300 so it was a problem. I had my programmer fix it somehow so it would work… but its been so long he’s unsure what changes he made where so I’ve not updated the plugin yet for fear it will break everything. We were hoping to export the CSV file so if it broke I was told he could get it back working easily while I find a different plugin to slowly migrate too. Which I hate doing as I love yours. But I’m just nervous at some point its going to break completely if I don’t upgrade it as wordpress upgrades.
If you have any idea why I’m not getting the download to work I’d appreciate input.
Thanks!

In reply to: [Broken Link Checker] Getting more and more 403-ErrorsYeah, sadly, though its the most promoted plugin for this, it’s been bailed on. Another thread, which you may have seen, has others with the same issue: https://bit.ly/2yamCFg

In reply to: [Broken Link Checker] amazon links reported 403 forbidden (but they aren’t)Having the same issue mainly on affiliate links from an Amazon search. Three days ago I went to 51 of them, did a new search and got a new code and it fixed them. Today 16 showed up and did the same but still showing a 403 error. The link, however, works and goes to the right page. Not sure what that means.
This is the main link checking plugin promoted everywhere. I’m surprised it’s been bailed on from what I can tell. Hate when that happens. ü

In reply to: [WPS Hide Login] Can’t get to backend on Chrome since cloudflareWell, I went in to do that just to make sure, forgetting I was in Chrome, and it let me in the backend. I’ve not done anything else to try and fix the issue as I was out of ideas, so I have no idea why it suddenly started working. Possibly some update to a plugin. Anyway, everything is fine now.
Thanks anyway.
Nancy üDisabling AVG does no good. It must definitely be my computer. Just not sure what might be causing it… never had this happen before. I’ll do more research.

In reply to: [WPS Hide Login] Can’t get to backend on Chrome since cloudflareNo, afraid not. I was hoping to get some info here about possible plugins that conflict. When since my problem is only in Chrome it makes it difficult. This plugin is the only one that appears to be keeping me from seeing the backend in Chrome.
Hi Thomas,
Thanks for reaching out again. I did reinstall it and AVG is working properly… yet for some reason I still cannot see the ads on my own PC on any browser (Chrome, Firefox and IE. Yet they are there for others to see and on my cell phone and other devices. I have no idea what is causing this odd issue. I do use Adblocker but I always have it turned off for my own site. I wish I had paid more attention to when they stopped showing. I just assumed it was after the cloudflare and the addons I installed to get SSL working. But if my PC is the only thing they don’t show on I assume that’s not it.
It’s still showing the failed script loading in the FF browser console for all the google ads on the bottom of this image. I just don’t know what that means: https://oi66.tinypic.com/8xugwi.jpg

I did just have to reinstall AVG… I’ll check on that. Thanks!
I just tested my site on a laptop and the ads show up. I have no idea why they are not showing on my computer on any browser but showing elsewhere. Any ideas?
Hi Thomas,
I’ve tested my site on three different browsers. No ads show anywhere. I checked in the browser console of Firefox and it shows they are not loading…
https://oi67.tinypic.com/34ziloj.jpgDo I need to do a anything differently since switching to SSL?
