I’m having the opposite problem, where I can’t get anything to show up in the text layer at all. I need the text to show up centered on top of the slide background.
If anyone can help me as well, I’d greatly appreciate it.

In reply to: HELP! Page title & contents are all hyperlinkedYes, i had deleted the RSS code already, so it was defaulting to the next last social media link which was MySpace.
So glad that problem is solved now, thanks to you!
Onward to the other issues!

You’re my hero!
I went to the header.php file and closed the social media tags as you instructed, and it solved the problem!
THANK YOU for your thorough & incredibly helpful reply!

In reply to: HELP! Page title & contents are all hyperlinkedRev Voodoo,
I think i get what you’re saying (maybe.)
That the social icons’ code it extending into the content of the page causing it to be treated as part of that code & therefore dynamic?
I’ll give that a try…

In reply to: HELP! Page title & contents are all hyperlinkedThe reason I thought this is an RSS problem is that on the “page” contents, wherever you click it send you to the RSS feed link. So there’s gotta be a connection there.
Actually, the real problem is that my sidebar is about 300px too LOW on the main index page, even though it’s fine on all the other pages:
It needs to line up with the slider next to it. The only thing I can think of on the index page that’s causing this is a slider, but it’s not too wide to push the sidebar down. I even tried reducing the width of each the sidebar & the slider to see if that was the culprit, but the sidebar remained.
So i need to change my question to:
“How to I move the sidebar up on the main page, without it being too high on the inside pages?”

In reply to: Navigation bar is suddenly brokenBtw, I just ran validation and all the errors are quite minor and completely unrelated to the problem i posted about.

In reply to: Navigation bar is suddenly brokenThanks, but what’s up with the tone?!
Seriously– a little friendliness never killed anyone.
I’ve gotten assistance from others on this forum before & none were this snippy.
I’d rather wait for someone a little nicer, thank you. I’ll figure it out either way.
Have a nice day.

In reply to: Navigation bar is suddenly brokenThanks, but that’s a little overwhelming as a solution. Can you be a little more specific? The link you sent me to is quite elaborate and just confused me more. And I’m not even sure it addresses my problem.
And where are you seeing all these errors you’re talking about?
FireBug only found one error.I just want to get the navbar working again. Everything was fine earlier so I don’t want to go back right now and fix things that aren’t broken.
A more targeted answer would be greatly appreciated.

You can see it if you refresh the link.
Thanks, I’d appreciate any help. It was working fine this morning.

In reply to: Page URLs not the same path as homepageThat’s the parent domain, with applegarthllc.com as an “add-on” domain. Add-on domains launch under their own URL (ie: https://www.applegathllc.com) when created in their own folder in the public_html folder on the server.
It works fine for the homepage; I just need to know how to make the other pages work the same way.
Hope this explanation helps…

In reply to: Page URLs not the same path as homepageI also tried changing the funcion.php file, but the same error happened.

In reply to: Page URLs not the same path as homepageI did what you suggested, and it resulted in the following “Internal Server Error” on all but the homepage:
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Apache Server at applegarthllc.com Port 80So i put back the original config file.
The link you sent has several different instructions for different purposes; can you be more specific as to the steps for this particular modification?
Thanks

(applegarthllc.com is an “add-on” domain of invisiblerocket.com, which is how the web host, Hostmonster handles multiple domains under one account.)
