    Thanks, that was the problem.
For those wondering, you need to uncomment mod_rewrite from your httpd.conf file.

Yes I thought about that and I already began with it, however, almost 90% of the content is just messed up, it took me a very long time to even fix one display bug, and since everything is bugged, it would take me longer to make it compatible than just start a new website all together.

I just installed wordpress to phpbb3 bridge, and it works well.
Now I just need a way to “post” a phpbb forum on a page.
I’ve tried iframes but they don’t work, not even with javascript fixes.
Another project after that would be to figure out how to hide and show menu items based on user access level, but that’s probably handled internally by wordpress.

Anyway, I’m thinking I might try joomla with JFusion, it integrates many forum software and blogging stuff (and more) including the theme.
Sounds too good to be true to be honest but might be worth a shot, I can always add wordpress as a blog! (As I’m currently kind of trying to create a whole website/community site from a blog application, not that experienced with php)
Currently wordpress is my root directory.

Hey, I think you thought I had 2 wordpress blogs, or simply a forum at another location.
I wanted to integrate my phpbb forum, to synchronize at least the users and their profiles between the 2 databases, or alternatively just tables inside one database.
However, that’s not possible by just using the same database, I was wondering what you meant, but you probably though I was using another wordpress blog or forum plugin.

I’m really lost and there’s not much support going on here, and I have tried pretty much every user management plugin, forum plugin and tried buddypress and wp symposium, but all have failed to achieve what I want.

Buddypress was the only one that did what I wanted, but it uses bbPress and my theme doesn’t support it.
I guess bbPress is decent with loads of plugins attached but like I said, theme problem.

Is there anything I can do?
I simply want a page with my blog (users can comment on posts here), a link to my forum where users can discuss different topics, without having to register twice and enter the same info all over again.
Synchronizing the users and the profiles is my biggest problem here.

Please, if you have any plugins, forums, plugin forums, user management plugins or any way that I can sync these 2, let me know!

    Hey.
I checked that gigya thing out, I’m not really sure what it does, does it allow people to sign in with their facebook accounts or what?

Also, how would having the forum and wordpress in the same database solve my problem? I would still have to synchronize the user tables of both platforms.

Yeah, but then my wordpress is still not integrated to phpbb and vice versa.
I want people to only have 1 log in, so that when they register, it will take them to either then wordpress register or phpb register screen, but mirror the data on both platforms, so users can still comment on blog posts and use the forums with the same account.
    Any suggestions besides buddypress?
I have tried mingle forum but it’s just not good.

    Thanks for your reply!
    That answered my questions.
