TS here again. I guess one solution, albeit not a very neat one, would be to hard-code the links from the external site, so the link itself reads ‘site.com/forum/start_new_topic/topic_name_..etc’ ?

Cons: there could potentially be many threads of the same sort, plus it would be sensitive to any updates in the WP forum plugin

I haven’t set up the forum yet, so I haven’t decided on what plugin to use. Whichever that will work. ??
