Let me explain what it does and why we use it.
Because the mp3player uses a specific functionality that keeps the visitor on the homepage of your website you wouldn’t know what page you really are viewing.
Meaning that if you follow a couple of links inside the blog and you wanted to bookmark or send the page to a friend you would be just sending the home-url of the blog.
The # acts as a sneaky way to add the location of the page you are viewing. Because all the stuff that comes after the # can be changed without reloading the website and can be read by the scripts on the page.
So it is kinda specific and we really do want that functionality to be there on our site.
