You can’t install UppSite on a blog that can’t be accessible from the internet (e.g. on localhost, 127.0.0.1, 10.x.x.x …) because UppSite server communicates with the plugin once installed.

“Subscribe to website” option appears on sites who have RSS feeds, and once a user chose to subscribe to your website, Brow.si’s servers will frequently check for new content from your RSS feed. Once new content has been detected, a notification will be pushed to all your subscribers (on all their devices).
As a WordPress user, your RSS feed is enabled by default, and once you create a new post it is updated.

Could you point us to the specific file which triggered the warning? The file downloaded from this site is a ZIP archive file containing all the plugin files, and anti-virus scanners usually alert individual files rather than archives.

Cleaning UppSite from your WP admin is very easy.
All you need to do is to login to your WP admin page, de-activate the plugin from the list and then to delete it.

In addition, it is always recommended to contact us at [email protected] so we will make sure that the plugin is de-activated from our end.
