well even if you are not replying I have to share this: I just installed this plugin to another site and it worked fine but also uploaded itself to my public uploads folder as an attachment and became available as a download on one of my pages?!?! Weirdest thing ever! I deleted the attachment/zip and the plugin remained available and working… I have no idea how any of that is even possible.

Essentially a specific group of users ie. subscribers can only see the posts of a specific writer/editor and no one else.

Thanks for taking the time to reply peeps. @leejosepho yes you are probably right. I was not thinking of variations of capabilities particularly. I was thinking of it as a bit of a design hack. I could create 10 different user roles and then let only specific user roles view specific front end content on the site. I wondered how wordpress would cope if this method scaled into what would essential be a membership site.

So problem with headers was duplicate read me text files… just had to delete one or both of them to stop the error

Did the plugin work for you in the end? You might want to remove that image upload for the security of your site.

I see you mention how to do it with php but this is not very practical… I meant doing it a post at a time making the decision as you publish the post… if that makes sense

Maybe the forum notice should not say topic has been closed it should say “your post gets caught there then some volunteer moderator will release the post. You just need to be patient for a while.”

Hello – it is just the forums overly sensitive spam mechanism… any time I post a comment I can not follow up until someone replies… if it was five comments I would understand the sense… but is two comments really a spamming alert?

I think that is pretty precised already…. but I can try… Each user has a profile page when they join a wordpress site. But only authors can use your plugin. So why do profile pages for people who are not authors include a request for your plugin’s profile info? And how can that be stopped? Only authors should have these boxes added to the profile page. Thanks
