In reply to: [The Holiday Calendar] Fatal errorHi,
we released a new version for the popup issue. To enable the fix you need to go to:
/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=thc-events&page=events (which is the same as Events -> Settings in the menu)
and turn on “No cookie mode”.

In reply to: [The Holiday Calendar] Fatal errorHi,
still working on the CSS.
We can make a fix for the drop down. Apparently the popup plugin can’t handle POST’s so we will also enable GET.
Thanks for the log. While it will not hurt your site it can affect keeping in memory which country was chosen on other websites.

ps. Next update will be released on Thursday probably.

In reply to: [The Holiday Calendar] Fatal errorHi,
this bug is not related to our plugin. The popup should remember whether it has been shown or not. Maybe it’s cookie is also blocked?
Some countries have months without holidays so this is correct.
We explained before, it is really hard to create CSS that will work with all themes (because of existing CSS and Javascript that we can’t control). We can do an attempt but no promises.
We’ll give an update in couple of days.

Mva7
btw:
Yes our drop down is different from the one you show, in the sense that we do a POST. However this is perfectly normal behaviour and should not affect other pluginsForum: Plugins
In reply to: [The Holiday Calendar] Fatal errorHi,
the cookie is not ours, it is automatically created when one uses sessions in PHP. A new version is released: 1.17.4.
Now it should work.

ps. Let us know if you can’t get the CSS to work we provided before.

In reply to: [The Holiday Calendar] Fatal errorHi,
it is called PHPSESSID. It is a default cookie from PHP.

In reply to: [The Holiday Calendar] Fatal errorHi,
we have no experience with Varnish and we wouldn’t want to advise something that will break your site.
In retrospect it would have been better to offer a non persistent option that will always work. We will make that available tonight. It means the selection will reset if you go to another page but at least you can select all countries.

In reply to: [The Holiday Calendar] Fatal errorHi,
we now use PHP sessions. That means that the PHPSESSID cookie must be allowed. Transients were not suitable because it would give the same country for all visitors.
