In reply to: [Plugin: AdSense Manager] Does this Plugin contain a hidden Adopinion Ads?I’m the developer of the plugin so here’s a few points:
Donating to use this plugin is not compulsory – there is quite a clear option to turn it off. If you follow the installation instructions it even explains how to do this, as you install it. For what it’s worth, a lot of people do switch it off (far fewer than 113,764 are donating money to me).
Development of this plugin took a lot of time, supporting it takes even more. Being a popular plugin isn’t actually an advantage (think about it): on average I receive 4 support requests A DAY via email. When I can I drop in here also to update and correct. That takes time, something I don’t have a lot of available.
I added the Be Nice donation as a way to justify (to myself) spending as much time as I did coding this plugin up when I really should be earning a living instead. This has gone well past being a hobby to being a complete chore. You may react with horror that someone would ask to be paid (voluntarily) for their work, but some people tell me they think it’s a really nice idea. Go figure.
All this is slightly irrelevant anyway. Even with the Be Nice donations the workload maintaining/supporting this plugin is too high to justify keeping it up. I’m currently discussing with alternate developers to take over. As soon as I stop spending time on this Be Nice will be disabled, simple as that.

In reply to: [Plugin: AdSense Manager] 3.2.13 Broke AdsHi check your AdSense IDs are correct in case they were lost in the upgrade (shouldn’t have been, but has happened): that’s the biggest cause of problems with irrelevant ads (doesn’t link to your account).
If anyone has a site where 3.2.13 is running with problems point me at it and I’ll have a look asap: but bear in mind I’m currently sitting exams (9 in the next 2 weeks) so it may take a little longer than usual to get back to you!
Thanks for the feedback.

In reply to: [Plugin: AdSense Manager] Ads not showing in postCan you try with the latest version (.13) and see if that fixes the problem? If not, go the Manage » Ad Units page and edit the Network Settings: make sure it’s set up to show ads on all the pages (see options in the bottom left). These are imported from AdSense Deluxe, perhaps something went wrong.
Let me know how you get on.

In reply to: [Plugin: AdSense Manager] Ads not showing in postCan you give me a link to a page where the ads should appear?
How are you adding the ads to the posts? Have you included the [ad#name] tags where you want them to show up?
Thanks

In reply to: [Plugin: AdSense Manager] Plugin broke when I upgraded to 2.5Can you download 3.2.10? It should fix this bug for you. Thanks for reporting it… it’s caused by leftovers from upgrading/importing: the cause should now be fixed, but it left some weirdness in the db.
Let me know how you get on.
3.2.9 now ?? What types of ads did you set up? Were these all AdSense? It sounds like a problem with the import process, I’ve done some work on this so hopefully it’s now fixed. Let me know if you need any more help.
Thanks.
3.2.8 should fix this problem. Upgrade then from your admin panel add ?adsensem-revert-db=2 to your URL and press enter to refresh the v2 database and reupgrade.

In reply to: Error upon installation of adsense-managerIf you paste it in and click “Import to Code Unit” it would work, although you might want to consider using a plugin designed for this instead such as EasyTube.
nbfrisch: Did you upgrade from a previous version of AdSense Manager or was this a fresh install? Also, what ad units/etc. have you set up since installing? I’ve had a few reports like this but not been able to pin down the cause. Thanks.

In reply to: [Plugin: AdSense Manager] I don’t want ads to show when I’m logged inNo problem. I’ll look into doing this over the next few days – I guess it would be a useful feature for a lot of people to lower the impressions and maintain the CPM. Thanks for the idea! I’ll keep you posted.

In reply to: [Plugin: AdSense Manager] I don’t want ads to show when I’m logged inLouie11: Not currently, but it shouldn’t be too hard to add.
How soon do you need this?Jacco: Checking the blog page of your site, the ads are now working (yes?) but your Google publisher ID still needs updating. As mentioned just copy this from the Google AdSense site; it’s in the top right corner of the page.
Let me know if you need any more help.
Also, are you using WP Cache? If that’s enabled try re-saving the page where the ad is not showing, otherwise it will still be serving up the cached copy.
