I didn’t try it out on Cloudways. Can you please give it a shot and share your experience here. That would be very helpful for other users.
One thing to notice, Cloudways uses advanced caching technologies like Varnish to ensure a site to be loaded as fast as it can. There is a possibility that a few of the Dynamic pages are being cached. To make those pages work properly, you may need to exclude that particular URLs and Cookies from the Exclude Varnish Rules tab.

I think, you have added sub-domain in the platform, but not on domain registrar.
Try creating sub-domain in domain registrar too. Then check and let me know.

It will not work with PHP 7, asmysql_connect()has been deprecated in PHP 7.Plugin developer should look into it.
