Same problem here. I enabled V2 invisible on login now I cant login. I see the recapta at the bottom right corner but it just not letting me sign in when i click login from my WP-login page.
I fixed it. I just downloaded WordPress, and pulled the file out (http.php) and replaced the broken file.
Would you happen to have a tutorial I can follow to achieve such tasks?
Okay, before I do. Will that delete any of my content?
I’m guessing I can do this via FTP?
EDIT: watching a tutorial on youtube one step says to go to Tools>export> save all content.
I am unable to do that step because my dashboard is not working. Can I do this via FTP? If so, where?

In reply to: malicious files on WP site, did i delete it correctly? (site hacked)Also why did you say wp-config.php 640 permission “may work”?
That’s how its currently set up and everything is fine. does that mean i should leave it as is? my understanding is the lower the number the more secure.

In reply to: malicious files on WP site, did i delete it correctly? (site hacked)Thanks sterndata, you’ve been a big help!
Last question, is it possible for malware to be dormant, meaning it doesn’t show up on a scan but its still there.
Similar to them having my password, they no it, but they are not using it until they need to. “yes, i plan to change my passworD”

In reply to: malicious files on WP site, did i delete it correctly? (site hacked)thanks for the quick response!
i downloaded ithemes security along with my wordfence, hopefully they can work together.
When i did a scan it appears there is no more malware, but i read that sometimes it doesnt pick it up, are there any other scanners that are good at picking up malware?
Suggestion Value
wp-config.php 444 640 WARNING
.htaccess 444 644 WARNINGthese are some file permissions that were flagged by itheme security. Can i keep these as is, or should i set them to the 444 as it suggests.
When an attacker puts malware on your site, does it spread? leading to them gaining full access to my site? I dont understand why they do it.
If a site has malware on it, does that mean the attacker has my username and password?
