No worries thanks for getting back to me. I seem to have found the issue, it’s something to do with an optimisation plugin I’m using, either a caching thing or a minify CSS thing. I’ve turned it off for now and it’s working fine.
Hi spejz
Having the same problem, how did you fix it please?
thanks

In reply to: unable to get to dashboardI’m not that familiar with hostgator but they have a support page here about how to FTP to your hosting. You’ll need to download a free program, enter your website details and then you’ll see all the files. Their support people should be able to help you.
here’s the link to their ftp support

If that still seems a bit complicated you could always send their support team a ticket and ask if they will delete the plugin for you. Just ask them to delete the folder called “w3-total-cache” that is in the “wp-content/plugins” directory.
Once thats done you should be up and running again.

In reply to: unable to get to dashboardHi Charlotte
I just had exactly the same problem with an error on line 1117! For me though it wasn’t the update of wordpress that broke it, it was the update of a plugin called W3 Total Cache.
Are you running that plugin do you know?
I couldn’t disable it via the wordpress admin as I just had a blank page, so I ftp’d in to the server and deleted it from the plugins folder. Not sure if that was the right thing to do but it worked for me and I can now get back into the admin area.
