I wasn’t sure myself if the reblog_key would be possible / feasible but decided I’d mention it…
Regarding the featured image and image post:
From what I can tell from testing the plugin it looks at the WP post type and replicates it on tumblr – you’re writing text – you’re crossposting text, etc. But if I’m posting an image on my blog or a portfolio item, etc. and I’m using the “Standard” post type it will not do a photo post on tumblr. That’s fair enough, because the WP post body doesn’t actually contain an image – it is in the Featured Image section. But with no way of forcing post type I sometimes can’t share exactly what I want. Hope that made more sense.
