Ok, I could use some help. My archives page breaks in Internet explorer while it looks fine in Safari and Firefox (Mac). First I thought it would be the box model but that doesn’t seem to be it. If someone has a clue, pls drop me a line at mstegink att gmail.

I found a completely different approach on voting at https://www.chrisjdavis.org/2004/11/30/new-plugin/ Basically anyone can vote for an article to be noteworty and based on the amount of votes it will display an icon. For example:

1. 1-29 votes, no icon value.
2. 30-49 votes, ★ is displayed.
3. 50 votes the peak of like-ability, gets a ?

Thanks for your feedback. The header link is added as you suggested. What do you mean with sizeable? The typeface I will see if I can find anything to my liking, or do you have any suggestions I should look at?

That’s quickly done and improving in my opinion. As to the ad thing I understand your curiosity. I would like to know too. Hope that works out well for you! As for the photo’s, I did quite some research for an album plugin but didn’t find one completely to my liking. The one I found best to my needs is autogallery https://kyrres.net/2005/02/04/autogallery/ It is in Danish however, which I can read only a tiny bit (I’m dutch). Maybe that works out for you also.

I am not insulted personally but do not believe “freedom of speech” should be “freedom to insult people”. That is, in my opinion, misuse of a precious good.

On your site: whats the big advantage of three column in your case? I would:
– Remove the calendar: who ever uses them?
– Fill up the left bar with: search, categories, recent, archives
– Create a separate page for friends

I’m a big fan of web standards and try to live by them. If only IE would honor standards webdesign would be a lot easier. In some cases one could have some second thought though.

The ALT requirement for validating sites could is rather trivial. Since a picture says more tha a thousand words you would need quite a large ALT to explain the picture. ??
