In reply to: [Plugin: Ban Hammer] not keeping blacklisted email domains from registeringNo worries and thanks again for looking into it. I’ve had so many spam registrations that I’m quite happy to be patient for a fix!

In reply to: Tiny AvatarsI probably need to remove that code…not sure but I’ll check because I think what was causing the problem was a plugin conflict between Mingle and Avatars. I disabled Avatar and that solved a lot of issues.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Tiny AvatarsWell, I found a line of code in the comments.php
<?php echo get_avatar($comment, 16 ); ?>
which I have changed to 64 and that solved it. I’m not really convinced that’s the best solution though.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: Mingle and contributionThe instant you shove users into that admin area, many of them are totally confused.
I agree hence why I used mini forms and like that Mingle locks people out of admin. Why spend ages theming a website only to have users see a totally different back end?
I hope the developers of Mingle look at this. TDO is good but as has been noted, for some people it’s causing a lot of errors. For my use it’s fine but I can’t understand why there aren’t more plugins like it either.

In reply to: Nothing validates!No, one error in xhtml on the most basic of themes, no issue there, but 57 css errors? It’s happening with all of them. The more elaborate themes can generate 30+ xhtml errors and 100+ css errors

In reply to: Nothing validates!Hmmm, I just checked my own blog which uses a modded Lonely Tree theme and it validated ok: https://www.mscrow.com/blog
So what’s going on here? Do the validators have an issue that the blog isn’t using ‘www’?

In reply to: Mingle and contributionAha, sorted. Finally found the right plugin – TDO Mini Forms – which means I can block off the wp-admin area completely and still enable user submitted content.
