In reply to: Remove search box [Twenty Eleven]Hello, I also have the same question as Altair. I asked a colleague with an ipad to check as they were having menu wrapping issues. I have removed the search box following these instructions with my child theme. My colleague confirms that the wrapping has stopped and the menu is all on one line with no further menu editing needed.
Thanks for the code assistance above Chip.

In reply to: [AdRotate Banner Manager - The only ad manager you'll need] No active adsMe too! It’s driving me bonkers. My two ads are listed in their side-bar grouping but not in the ad listing.
I have just launched it at https://www.ey2p.org
Thanks for making a really nifty piece of software as it does just what was needed. I have a couple of queries that I’ll place in another thread.

In reply to: [Fast Secure Contact Form] [Plugin: Fast Secure Contact Form] Update failedHello
Appreciated your help but unfortunately I have uninstalled the plugin from three different servers hosted by three different companys. Everytime there was an update the automatic updater failed and it would ‘fail to remove old files’ or similar. I would be left with a plugin folder with only one folder inside, no new files and no old. Manual updating became frustrating. On uninstalling one version this morning it too failed to do so automatically.
A real shame as it was a neat little plugin.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Fast Secure Contact Form] [Plugin: Fast Secure Contact Form] Update failedHello
It’s happening on a different website hosted by a different company; I get: An error occured while updating Fast Secure Contact Form: Could not remove the old plugin..

In reply to: Show homeThanks for replying again.
It’s just not working. I have added the custom menu widget (which was acting up yesterday so I hadn’t used it) which I have a ‘home’ link on. Below, I have left the ‘pages’ widget which isn’t showing ‘home’ despite your sensible mod.
*scratches head*

In reply to: Show homeHmm, I added that but it doesn’t work (thanks for responding). This is the full code of that section in sidebar.php
<li> <h2><?=__('Pages')?></h2> <ul> <li>Home</li> <?php wp_list_pages('title_li='); ?> </ul> </li>

In reply to: Strange problem on WP 3.0.1 auto upgradeYes I got this, having used autoupgrade successfully on other blogs to version 3.0, I held off upgrading on the massive blog until 3.01 was released. I had exactly the same issue as you, the page never refreshed or did anything so I had to manually upgrade via ftp.

In reply to: Subscriber only contentYou can do this already with some plugins. You may want to look at one called ‘Member Access’ where you can stipulate some pages/posts as logged in members only. I also use Mingle to add a little social networking.

In reply to: Failed to upgrade from 3.0 to 3.1My upgrade failed, nothing happened at all so I uploaded the files via ftp. Have you tried this first?

In reply to: [Plugin: Maintenance Mode] MM 5.1 won’t installThe upgrade just worked for me through the usual wordpress admin automatic upgrade route. Not sure why it suddenly has started working but I’m not complaining.

In reply to: [Plugin: Ban Hammer] not keeping blacklisted email domains from registeringGene53 you might consider trying Bad Behaviour. I eventually gave up and disabled Ban Hammer (nice idea though and good to see it works elsewhere). I use Mingle so some options were out but using BB, I’ve probably had 4 spam signups in a week, as opposed to about 160.
