Thanks @rtvenge. I have the same feeling about something changing in core. I did notice a setting in CPT UI that I thought might change the behavior but it didn’t make a difference in my case. Maybe it will make a difference for you.

I also tried Intuitive Custom Post Order with the same results when using the Twenty Twenty-Three theme and all plugins (except CPT UI) turned off.

The term_order field is in the terms table. The order doesn’t seem to update in the table after moving terms around using the UI. I’m not able to sort anything from custom post types to posts to pages to taxonomies.

I did find a set of plugins that are working for me which are Post Types Order and Category Order and Taxonomy Terms Order but I’d much rather be using Simple Custom Post Order.

I’m not sure if this makes a difference but I’m hosted with WP Engine.

@rtvenge I had the exact same issues you did. I started with Simple Custom Post Order then switched to Intuitive Custom Post Order with the same results. After finding your post I switched to Post Types Order and the order is saving for me.

This might be a long-shot, but are you using WP Engine?

One more thing I’d like to mention is that the response from the server doesn’t seem to be what I’d expect. For instance when the request is sent, it’s sent with an array of IDs in the order I put them on the screen, however the returned value is 0. I would expect a 1 or TRUE if successful, not a zero.

Thanks for getting back to me. The Category sorting is enabled as are many other terms and post types, but none of them will save their position after dragging and dropping.

I did click the Update button just to see if that worked but it did not.

– I’ve changed the times to 12-hour format
– I’ve deactivated all plugins except Rank Math (v1.0.86.1)
– I’m using the default Twenty Twenty-Two theme (v1.1)
– I’ve gone to the /wp-admin/admin.php?page=rank-math-status Status & Tools menu and deleted/rebuilt everything.
– I’ve cleared the server cache.

I’m still not seeing any OpeningHoursSpecification schema tags on those pages.

Yep that was the first thing I tried. What’s interesting is that when I go to Pages > All Pages there are no pages listed but I can see that I have 22 published. I see this same behavior when trying to list custom post types on the back-end.

Hi Liam,

I have 2.1.0 and when I click on the “Calculate Now?” link I see that the link changes to “Building Color Palette…” and I’m taken to the top of the screen because it’s linked to # but nothing happens. There’s nothing in my console either.
