In reply to: [Youtube Sidebar Widget] Seems to be broken in WordPress 4.1.2Hello? Is this thing on? Did “the fix”, as documented here also break for everyone else about a week ago, or just me?

In reply to: [Youtube Sidebar Widget] Seems to be broken in WordPress 4.1.2Dag Nabbit. I noticed the fix doesn’t work any longer, effective the day before this post, best I can tell. Instead of the youtube device support video that was there when the plug in was first broken, now there is nothing. Anyone else, or is this just me????

In reply to: [Youtube Sidebar Widget] Seems to be broken in WordPress 4.1.2Sorry to hear that Doug, as the fix works pretty good! I will keep using it, as long as it still works.

In reply to: [Youtube Sidebar Widget] Seems to be broken in WordPress 4.1.2I post the newest weekly video by someone who is not me, and I can tell you that this fix works for that. He uploaded a new video one day after I installed the fix, and the newest one is successfully up. I don’t know how many of you use the plugin in that particular manner, but this fix definitely works for me.

In reply to: [Youtube Sidebar Widget] Seems to be broken in WordPress 4.1.2Never mind, thought I wasn’t going to be able to do this because I am not the owner of the YouTube Channel in question. But there is a slight error in those instructions that threw me off. In the following sentence, replace the word left with right. the name of the YouTube playlist in question is on the right. ??
“Your first video will start to play. Over on the left menu at the top will be the name of your Upload playlist. Example “Uploads From xxx”

In reply to: [Youtube Sidebar Widget] Seems to be broken in WordPress 4.1.2First of all, there does not appear to be a way for me to edit the title of the thread, which is obviously not what’s going on here. :-). If anyone knew of a suitable replacement, I’m sure they would have posted here by now. I don’t know SOMEONE out there has to be working on one, you would think. Where is the plugin creator? You would think they get these posts via email.

In reply to: [Youtube Sidebar Widget] Seems to be broken in WordPress 4.1.2I might add, I believe this error just showed up today. It could be my auto update to wordpress 4.1.2, BUT, it could be a total coincedence, and it’s all about “youtube upgrading to a new version”, which is the video which shows up on my sidebar widget now, as I see Todd said as well.

In reply to: [Rename wp-login.php] Renames but, there is still a back door. Thanks for the info, ddaum. I use Aryo Activity Log to see log in attempts, under the log type “user”. You can filter by type of log, and I generally need to, because the overwhelming majority of log entries are the 2,000 or so spam comments per month I receive. ??

In reply to: [Rename wp-login.php] Renames but, there is still a back door.@ddaum What did you do for .htaccess directory protection?
Me, up until 5 days ago, I only had a handful of single hack attempts after installing Rename wp-login.php. However, during a three day period, I had hundreds of bot hack attempts all from different ip addresses, and about 5 minutes apart. This finally motivated me to install a disable xmlprc plug in. So far so good.

In reply to: [Rename wp-login.php] Renames but, there is still a back door.I just got email notification of Starman’s post, reminded me about this thread! I’ve only had 8 or 10 hack attempts since renaming wp-login.php, and they were all in the first day or two or three! My activity log plug in of choice (forgot what it’s even called) tells me the last one was at least 2 weeks ago. As I said previously, I had a couple thousand hack attempts the day before installing. I will do this xmlprc thing though, thanks.

In reply to: [Rename wp-login.php] Renames but, there is still a back door.Is that directed at me, or the other people before me? Since I have no idea what that is, or where to disable it, I will say no. :-).
By the way, I’ve had the plug-in installed almost a week. I will get an occasional single hack attempt. Maybe 8 or 10? The last one was 3 days from the prior one. Certainly the bots haven’t come back.

In reply to: [Rename wp-login.php] Renames but, there is still a back door.Yep, it’s vulnerable. Got two single hack attempts in the first 6 hours. But it’s only been about 8 hours, and I’m expecting the bots to hit again by the end of the day. The day before installing, I had about 2,000 hack attempts.

In reply to: [Radiate] Not sure it lives up to the hypeOK, I’m giving the exact name of the widgets. “Youtube Sidebar Widget” was unevenly spaced, and the sidebar background color did not cover the whole widget, it was outside the boundry, so to speak. I *believe* (can’t be sure) “Social Sharing Toolkit Follow Widget” was the one I had, and it was horrible, not covered by the sidebar background color again. Additionally, the standard Twitter feed widget (the one that Twitter themselves provides) crashed into the next widget below it.

In reply to: [Radiate] Not sure it lives up to the hypeSorry for the first 2 star review, but someone had to do it. ?? I actually did post to your support forums, but on a different issue. Why did I not post about the sidebar issues? I suppose I think plopping widgets into a sidebar should just work flawlessy, and I shouldn’t have to mess around with code on something that seems pretty straightforward to me. And it was multiple issues, not just one, so I figured why bother, and just looked for another theme.
