i was using my id vs the key it gives when you click on the link provided in the plugin description … once i used the key it worked and works beautifully

one more thing, when I update a post that has the shortcode, it stays blank and I have to put the url back in the address bar to go back. It is only posts with your shortcode, what can cause that?

I deactivated ALL plugins except the repost, and the button still disappeard, so it should not be a plugin conflict going on

I switched to the default twenty 10 theme and that did not help either, so it should not be a theme problem, which by the way I am using weaver ii

I created an account repost.us and got the API key which I fed into the plugin.

my wp is Version 3.5.1, did not change to reflect that on original post

the plugin is the latest Version 3.0 and when I sign in at repost.us, it shows status with a green checkmark

on the top it actually shows up for half a second then disappears

Just an update … did troubleshooting as suggested.

default theme had no issues with no plugins turned on

put my theme on had no issues

then turned on plugins and BAM … same thing.

So I knew it was a plugin

discovered the plugin …

SEO SearchTerms Tagging 2 has an option “Promote old post with no search engine traffic” which for the first time ever I enabled it, cause it sounded like a cool option.

have used this plugin with no problems before without that option turned on.

Well, not cool, it was the culprit, turned it off and all better now.
