In reply to: future time stamps keeps changing and not postingWell, the only thing that helped was upgrading to the new version 2.3.1 – which confirms my suspicion that this was a WP error rather than something going wrong somewhere else. I must I was a bit disappointed with the lack of responses on my query, especially since I wasn’t the only one with this problem.

In reply to: Edit Timestamps appears not to workI have the same problem as the OP and posted about this is in a new thread. No answer there, no answer here. Isn’t there anybody who knows what is causing this, not even from the WP team itself?

In reply to: posted posts disappearedYes, it was the server. Got a notification in the mail today. Let’s say it has been an interesting experience and that, thanks to the forum, I now have a convenient plugin!

In reply to: posted posts disappeared“good that they had a backup only 2 days old and not one a month old… :)” – OMG, you don’t mean to tell me there are hosts who only back up once a month?
While I am awaiting their reply to my message I’ll try to recreate those missing posts. Stupid I didn’t save them as I made them in DMW. Now I learn the hard way that it’s best to have back ups on my own HD as well as on the server….

In reply to: posted posts disappeared“Hope this helps but you really should read the docs about myphpadmin because you can screw it up beyond repair. ” – I know, but right now I am like standing at the side of the road with a broken car and I am focussed on getting it back to work rather than spending hours on the manual how to fix a broken gear chain or something. Right now, this forum is my WP yellow angle that I hope will guide me thru the diagnostics and the repairs.
I did what you told me to do and I found the table with posts that was browseable. However, the two missing posts have gone from that table as well, no trace left. I also noticed that I am missing two comments that were made after the date/time mentioned.
I am starting to wonder if this is a server problem rather than a WP problem. I just read my host is having problems with one of their servers and is replacing it as we speak. That could be it, no?
TIA,

In reply to: posted posts disappearedHi,
I downloaded, installed and activated the plugin. Now what do I do?(Remember, I just learned how to ‘drive’ WP, I don’t know how to repair it yet…)
I saw in the ‘row statistics table’ that the last ‘update’ was made on Jan 22 12.49 PM. I know for certain that the posts that have disappeared, were made after that time.
