It is interesting that you mention this. I set up an SMTP provider through the same server the website is hosted on and immediately ran into severe issues solely with Microsoft (every other email client worked).
What happened:
- I’m using their FluentForms Pro forms plugin alongside this FluentSMTP one
- I set up an auto-response for all form submissions
- One customer submitted the form and they use a hotmail address
- The second that auto-response email got sent to the hotmail address, we were 100% blocked from sending ANY mail to any Microsoft email account. Everything was immediately blocked upon sending. Even direct emails wouldn’t work. We had no way of communicating with this customer and thus, lost their business.
- We had to submit a request to Microsoft in order to unblock us from their system as Outlook and Hotmail had us blocked which took 1.5 days to resolve thanks to the awesome help from the hosting company.
Given that issue as well as this new issue were no email logs are displayed (no clue why it doesn’t work since it worked just fine before) gives me little confidence that I can trust this plugin to function when I need it the most.

In reply to: [Event Tickets and Registration] Still Broken after months with supportHello – This seems to be unrelated to our Event Tickets plugin, but does seem related to our “The Events Calendar” plugin. Just a heads up, we released a major update with loads of improvements last month, that should hopefully resolved what you ran into, but please do not hesitate to reach out to our support team if you’d like a hand.
Hi Pat,
This sounds like it’s related to our updated styling and Attendee Registration feature updates in December 2019.
We added new options that make registration a lot more flexible on your site, and that did indeed require us to update some of the markup, including CSS classes. I’m super sorry that made things difficult for you.
Out of curiosity, did you happen to see the release notes before updating versions? We try to make every effort we can to communicate changes to our plugins — especially breaking changes — on our site, on www.remarpro.com, via email updates, admin notices, and our social media accounts, but it seems we didn’t do a good enough job to fill you in. Is there something else we can be doing to make sure we’re communicating those updates better?

I thought you might also be interested to know that we’re working on a significant update to the check-in app that will make it even more outstanding. We hope to get it out this year, assuming all the stars align.
Thank you again for sharing! Cheers!

In reply to: [Event Tickets and Registration] So FrustratingHey, Jeff from Modern Tribe here — while we’re always bummed to see a lower rating, we appreciate the feedback. Concerns like these help us improve the most and your review here is no exception.
Admittedly, we’ve run into a handful of style issues/conflicts with various themes since releasing our latest feature for Attendee Registration. I agree that the position we put you in is not ideal at all. I sincerely apologize for what you’ve faced as well as having to get a workaround with Eventbrite.
We’re currently working on resolving a handful of issues folks have identified and will post an announcement when those ship.
In the meantime, would you be willing to share which theme you’re using? That will help us dig in a little deeper to get to the bottom of this.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] PHP Version UpgradeHi Mike
Thank you for the crazy fast response. Best I can do is 5.5 (other plugin devs still just getting compatible with that one).
Hopefully all will be well. ??
Have a great week!

In reply to: [WooCommerce] PHP Version UpgradeAlso – is there anything we need to be concerned with or aware of as it comes to changing an active install from PHP 5.4 and lower to PHP 5.5? Thanks!

In reply to: [Simple Custom CSS Plugin] Why is this calling home?DISREGARD – I submitted this on the wrong forum. Very sorry for the confusion.
That’s great to hear! Thank you so much for your dedication to your awesome plugin.
I haven’t seen any donation info or premium version. You’ll have to let me know if you’re coming out with anything, I’d support it. Not sure if you’re looking to get anything out of your plugin or not. ??
Sounds great! Thank you for looking into it.
I’ll let you know the result on my end once the update is released.
Enjoy your Sunday! ??
Good morning
I tested everything (plugins, themes, plugin settings). There is only one plugin interfering that I could figure out and it’s one that creates it’s own registration/login pages.
The plugin is: https://codecanyon.net/item/user-profiles-made-easy-wordpress-plugin/4109874
Within the plugin itself, there are no debug settings, so I’m unsure why it’s outputting that information. I’m wondering if it’s more of a conflict of some sort as opposed to displaying debug info.
What’s your email? I can send more info.
Thanks!
Ok – Sounds great, will do. Thank you as well for all your help. I’ll keep you updated and let you know what I find out.
Sounds great! Thank you! ??
Would you still like for me to run testing on my end today/tomorrow and try to see if there is any plugin in particular that conflicts with yours?
