I was having the same issue.

I’m using Rackspace cloud files for my CDN and the W3 Plugin will upload the new .png files to the CDN as desired however it sometimes will take 1 or 2 days before the site will begin to re-write the URL’s to point to the .png file hosted at the CDN. I’ve tried clearing all cache and that does not help either.

It’s very odd and not very predictable. Any thoughts Frederick?

Yes the CNAME aliases option on the CDN settings tab, you do not need multiple containers.

How did you get this to work? According to Rackspace, they do not support cnames yet for their CloudFiles service. See this thread: https://gpo.st/sh

@remotay – Yup, that’s how I fixed the same problem.

Users going to https://groovypost.com were redirected to: https://www.groovypost.com/wp-content/w3tc/pgcache/_default_.html.gzip instead of just https://www.groovypost.com

I modified the location of the remove www directive in .htaccess and problem fixed.

Obviously I don’t have all the requirements for your site and locking it down however, you might want to look at a few Pluggins to lock down your site rather than using .htaccess
