Is there a conclusively best solution for making your home page static? I just want to suppress the default posting of everything to the home page.

Nope, this plugin (static-front) won’t accomplish what I need–my page with the home slug is already on my home page.

I’ll re-word what I’m looking for:

I want to suppress the automatic posting of all post to the page with the ‘home’ slug. When I create a post, I want it to ONLY apear in the category that I select. How do I do this?
