  • Agree with OP, just seems to be a complete misfire, at least use something folks know well enough, or at least move in a direction where the change is more gentle, over a few steps rather than a single hugely frustrating step with something that seemingly is yet to be refined enough to make any real sense or use for most folks.

I am not going to be using Joomla right now, it was just a little LOL moment, having been looking at the demo sites on the web server that day, most of which are in WP, I was just looking at a Joomla site then notice the Joomla comment which made me chuckle a bit, that’s all.

I have too many sites in WP and most work fine with either no additional work or just a few tweaks.

For the new ones in the pipe, I am just going to disable the Gutenberg thing and activate the classic thing, for the time being at least. I will play with Gutenberg in the meantime.

Still not overly happy about it though, but hey, it may grow on me, in time.

Haha, I was looking at our Joomla test site yesterday, sitting here wondering if I should take more time to get to know it better…

Agree, it is just plain horrible.

    Win 98 was ok actually.

Agree with pretty much everything else, this move, though bold, is just too much for many, and is horrible experience, it breaks so much, I have people asking me how they do the most straightforward stuff, like create a header for the top of their page, only to discover I am unable to find any such option myself even in a vanilla install, the thing is no longer intuitive and presents us with many issues.

I found myself looking at our demo install of Joomla and also Drupal yesterday, to see if there was stuff I could port over easily, damn, I am so unhappy right now with WP.

@ Please explain – I do not understand your comment. What start rating are you referring to?

The five stars you had failed to notice when you did your initial review, and have also since failed to see despite numerous comments pointing out the discrepancy.

You should edit the review and change the rating to 1 to reflect how you feel about the plugin, as clearly, you dislike it.

Check under the title of your review, and you will see the stars all lit up…
