Another question is, after all the upgrades? do the old defines ever get removed? i.e. VHOST. and do the new defines get added? ie: MULTISITE, SUBDOMAIN_INSTALL…

I noticed some depreactiaon notices in the code for the VHOST option…

I also noticed the SHOW TABLES being called in the dbDelta function in wp-admin/upgrade.php – it appears there is no way to avoid this call… however each call takes 80s+! No one has experienced this problem before?

I just reverted my db and retried the upgrade from 3.0

Unfortunately wp-admin/upgrade.php still results in a SHOW TABLES with every call.

Anyone has any idea why wordpress is asking for a SHOW TABLES?

yes I have added:
define(‘VHOST’, ‘yes’);

I’ve removed the:
define( ‘SUBDOMAIN_INSTALL’, true );

Is there any special steps needed for 2.9.2 => 3.0.6? Anywhere I can refer to?
