Running into same problem. not able to activate mailpoet after latest update
a day ago..
Everything was fine for almost 2 years wth all updates
right now I could not activate it at all with this message appearing:

“Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error…”

Hosting Company: hostgator
WP Version: 4.7.1

does it apply to older newsletters as I have problems also with the updated version, and thinking about deleting it and re-installing again but don’t want to lose previous data/newsletters?
