The publicize feature really needs a way to set a default image.
The problem is, as the author of this thread has said, when you’re setting up a website for a client, and/or helping them manage it, it’s totally inappropriate for posts going to Facebook or elsewhere to use a personal gravatar image.
There really should be a way to manually set a fallback image. Any idea when such a setting will be available?
Frankly, there should also be a setting to never use Gravatars at all for non-personal blogs.
And there should be a setting to not use any image unless a featured image is set.

In reply to: Jetpack Publicize Default ImageI’d like to know the answer to this to, as my personal gravatar image is showing up when there’s no featured image set, which is odd to say the least for a client’s site likked to a Facebook Page I’m admin of for them.
This is happening for me now. All links are suddenly external links, rather than just the ones that actually are external.
That’s too bad. Company websites generally do not want or need an\ option to post things to personal profiles at all, just to the company Facebook page. It really should be configurable, as all it will do it confuse novice users. Oh well. I’ll find another solution. Thanks.
I’ve ended up setting the read more link to display:none as I couldn’t ever get it to work.
I don’t see a TB icon in the admin bar. Not sure what you’re referring to there.

I’m using [testimonial id=’random’ template=’shortcode’] and it’s always the first still.
There are 5 testimonials in all, but even reloading dozens of times only ever show the first, so I don’t think it’s just an odds problem.

I’ve tried all sorts of permalink settings, but the testimonials page just still links to the blog — even with default permalink settings, which are not desirable anyway.
I typically use: /%category%/%postname%/
Any other suggestions?
Odd too is that were there used to just be an ellipsis there’s now a “Continue Reading ->” link. Is there a setting to just turn that off, and let me just use a manual “Read more” link to the testimonials page instead?
It’s really not necessary to link to individual testimonials, as they are all pretty short, so the listing is fine.

In reply to: [Stella plugin] [Plugin: Stella free] A step by step , how to pls?Has this been fixed in the current release? I want to try it out, but I usually have WordPress in a /wordpress subdirectory for organization purposes.
I tried adding this:
<p class="read-more"><a href="{{ permalink }}">Read more...</a></p>
But it just links to the main blog page, not the testimonial, even though the URL is outputs is something like: /wordpress/testimonial/stephen-n/
Odd.
Is there a work-around for this?
Thanks,
MichaelIs there a way to have the events show up in a particular category?
My site isn’t using a main blog page, but rather just a couple separate blog category pages, so it’d be nice to be able to filter them into an Events category.
Thanks,
MichaelI just installed Multiple Galleries on a 2.9.2 installation, and it works fine doing what it’s supposed to do, but have found that it breaks the “Show” links still in the main media library panel, when trying to place media from the main library from within a post with the plugin active.
I’d like to second the request for the ability to set an entire custom post-type as a menu unto itself (listing it’s items in the menu), or the ability to add a custom post type as the submenu items to a page, perhaps as an option.
The Pro version of Gecka Submenu does something similar.
Any further progress on this?
joemcgill’s file worked for me for now, but it’d be nice to have a fully sanctioned solution.
