I had to manually go back in and add it to my pages.
Thank you for the reply!
Thank you, I will follow up with the Astra theme tech support first and I appreciate the link to Codeable.
Hi – I’m not using a filter (I had to look up what a filter is). It’s just a simple page with the short code, here’s a screencap: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1wOk2RjFOFevYvoukIrNa0h9AklhgqS4o/view?usp=sharing
I’m using the Astra theme, not sure if that would impact this. Thanks for your help.
Yes, it worked to move the block down and edit it (didn’t think of that!). Thank you for your time!
Thanks for responding. I realized the issue isn’t that I can’t edit the header, it’s that it gets covered up by the editing tool panel. I’ve tried resizing the window, opening it in different browsers, etc. and I can’t seem to get to the text.?Here are a couple of screencaps:
When I go to edit the form, I click on the text “Sign up for my newsletter”:

And then the editing tool panel covers up the header so I can’t get to it:

I suspect it’s something super simple and obvious that I’m just not seeing, but thank you for your time on this.

In reply to: cloned site and question about followersMy question isn’t how to disable subscribers, my question is how to disable subscribers getting notified when there is a new blog post or other update. I’m having to completely rework the site, delete blog posts, add new ones, and I don’t want the subscribers getting emailed every time I tinker with a blog post or page. It’s looking like the only solution to this is to delete all subscribers from the cloned site and manually re-subscribe them when the cloned site is eventually ready to go live, but that seems like a really inelegant solution. Surely other people have run into this issue?
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: cloned site and question about followersI inherited the site from someone else. It looks like “Subscribe to Comments Reloaded” is the only subscription plugin. It seems like the way WordPress works is that users control notifications on their end, and there isn’t a magic setting somewhere to “suspend all communications” on a site while working on a test version? (I’m relatively new to WordPress.) If you can recommend a plugin that does this, that would be great. Thanks.
