Switched to 4.18 of the free version with no change. The only custom code we’re using is the special plugin you wrote for us years ago to limit searches to specific Custom Post Types…

Tried that. Now, it just returns no responses, but doesn’t crash the site.

Resetting the plugins did not change anything, but switching to the default theme did remove the code snippet while wiping out all of the design of the site. Had to restore the theme which we’ve been using for several years, and the code snippet returned. Our site does not work with the Twenty Twenty theme activated, and this problem has not occurred before.

Only when I delete the plugin…but the code snippet on the web pages remains, and I still get error messages indicating “There has been a critical error on your website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”

No kidding…unfortunately, if you look at the code snippet I just posted that’s showing up on my live pages, that has nothing to do with the plugin. The only reason I reference the plug in is because that was the only obvious error that shows up in Recovery Mode, and the code snippet still appears even after that plugin is removed – which means it’s something other than the plugin. I’ve also seen a similar issue on at least one other site in the last 24 hours that does not use the plugin…which is why I thought it worthwhile to ask here in case others are seeing the same issue.

This is the code that shows up on every page of the web site (and doesn’t appear to have any relation to the Types plugin):

Yes…cleared the caches, and downloaded the plugin from Toolset’s web site at https://toolset.com/account/downloads/.

I did that, and reinstalled a clean copy of the plugin with no success. Unfortunately, mission-critical elements of my site require that plugin to work properly, and the site was working just fine until last night. Not sure what happened since there were no obvious software updates or changes.

The system wouldn’t let me paste it in, but here’s a link:

I’m having the same problem with the video posts on our web site, such as this one…

    https://whiskycast.com/taiwans-king-car-a-distillery-on-fire/

My theme has a video format option that I’ve been using that includes the option to include the YouTube link under “Additional Options” – which formats the web page nicely, but publishing it to Apple News discards the video. I could change it, but would have to go back and delete the thumbnail “featured image” that I need to have the posts show up with an image on the category page. Saw the reference about “adding a filter” but am not familiar with how to do that…would appreciate any suggestions.

    Thanks!

Having the same problem, and my site just displays the animated .gif fallback image instead. Tried Podoglyph’s suggestion, but it didn’t work. My contract developer suggested that WP 4.3 might have broken the shortcode for this plugin.

Thanks! A colleague that does some consulting work for us noticed that there was a lot of extra code around that jquery entry and stripped it out, which appears to resolve the problem for now.

Thanks…that image is a backup that only displays in non-Flash browsers such as iOS Safari, etc. We only have one Flash animation on the site for an advertiser, and the rest of the rotating images are done using Soliloquy galleries.

Thanks…did the gtmetrix test over the weekend, and it came back with a bunch of stuff I’d never seen before. Will look at the other resources…

No…I don’t believe so. I don’t control my own server, but will check with my support guru.
