Ok, so I searched for the ‘Logged in as…’ string in ExpressionWeb and found it in ‘includes/comment-template.php’
I know nothing about php (Am a SQL developer) but I found this bit of code:
[a href=”%1$s”>Logged in as %3$s[/a]. [a href=”%4$s”>Log out?[/a]I made a backup of the comment-template.php file and removed the logout href [a href=”%4$s”>Log out?[/a]
Seemed to fix it (Get rid of it). However, I don’t know what other knock-on damage I may have caused. I have a backup, so I guess time will tell.
It seems you have to add the other fields yourself by editing the existing profile Page or by creating a new custom page. Unfortunately, this is not made clear anywhere. It’s a great Plugin, but out of the box the features are not quite as accessibile as you might think.
The page editor itself however, is imho very clunky. This is not Ultimate Members fault though, it’s just Worpress itself. It’s just so unintuitive and has no wysiwyg builder. Lots of trial and error.Kind of resolved the Social links missing. Didn’t realise you had to edit the user profile form in order to add them. Also the fields appear in the wrong place below the icon bar. How do I move them above it?
I still have the problem of the “Your profile is looking a bit empty” / “This user hasn’t entered any information” even if the profile has clearly been updated. I have switched the message off completely as it was just misleading. Can you offer any solution to this?
Definitely do NOT have Varnish
Also seems caching is not switched on:
