In reply to: Pages not displaying? 2.5My first thought is that providing a url to the page so people can view it would probably help you get an answer more quickly. You provided very little info so visual would be very helpful.

In reply to: Adding external linkCan you hard code it into the footer? That’s what I did anyway. I also always use target=”_blank” in all external urls so that the page opens in a new browser window leaving the previous site open for returning to easily.

In reply to: How do I direct what Google displaysGoogle likes to use the meta description for it’s description below your site link. I don’t know what you have in your meta description tag (and I haven’t a clue how to do this in WP yet because I’m brand new to it) but in the past on another CMS I actually had to hard code in the meta description for the home page as using the CMS’s automatic thingy didn’t produce the results I wanted. Also, if you want to avoid desciption issues in the future do *not* submit a site to DMOZ. I had a problem w/meta descriptions on a site some time ago. Google was displaying a description that wasn’t even on my site! I couldn’t find it anywhere on any page no matter how far and wide I searched. Then I found out that Google is known to take descriptions from DMOZ listing. I requested my entry be deleted and after awhile it was but it can take awhile. I never submit to DMOZ anymore.

In reply to: Cannot loginI don’t know if this helps but the login page I’m using is this:
https://sitename.com/wp-login.php
Maybe try shortening your url to match this one and change “sitename” to your domain?

In reply to: Can’t Get Into My Admin!I can’t help you w/how to get in because I’m brand spankin’ new to WP (not to mention totally lost yet which is why I’m here!) but from another CMS I used where I did run into this issue they helped me fix it and then strongly suggested to ALWAYS create one additional amin user so that if you can’t login one way, you should be able to login the other and then go to the original which stopped working and edit it for new password. It worked there, maybe it will work here.
