  • Noticed the test boxes as well. The path for mine is slightly different.

Also having some issues toggling between text editor and visual editor. If you toggle one or the other, the text/content will disappear. Is this related to the debugging code,…or another issue?

Thanks. I’ll give it a try.

Ok thanks. I have a client that has an older version of the FS plugin and it hasn’t been updated since I customized some of the code for them. Can I simply replace and update those lines of code in the common_functions.php file, or are there other dependences that make those lines work?

    Thanks.

I’ve checked the permissions and I’m not seeing any 666.

I am seeing 755 and 644, which seems to correspond with the suggested standards in the change the permissions link you gave me. Also I am seeing permission for myself as the owner to read and write. So unless I’m missing something, it looks like the permissions are appropriate.

Are you asking me to adjust the permissions to 666 temporarily or ongoing?

This issue hasn’t been solved yet.

Clicking on any of the template links or the save button will cause WordPress to go the error page.

Can anyone offer any other potential solutions?

    Hi Siobhan,

    Thanks for the suggestions.

I tried switching themes (to regular 2012) but the editor still doesn’t work. Clicking save or any of the template links will again send the WordPress site to the error page. Also I have 3 WordPress sites I’m currently managing. None of them have operational Dashboard Editors currently. All three are different themes. Two themes I built by editing the 2012/2013 and the other is from the wp themes. It appears that the themes are not the problem. WordPress is up to date for all three different websites.

For two of the themes, I am the theme builder, so unfortunately contacting myself won’t help. ; )

Now that I think about it, the Editor in all three themes hasn’t worked since the upgrade where the WP Dashboard got the new look with the black sidebar (not sure of the update version number.)

Did routing in the backend of the newest wp change for the editor?
